About AEGIS IA

Sovereign AI for companies tired of getting screwed.

Who we are?

AEGIS IA is a company founded in 2025 in Lorraine, France. Young, yes. Inexperienced, no.

Behind AEGIS, there's 22 years of development on BeamReactor, a web framework that's been used by French companies but also American, Swiss, Canadian ones... Not code hacked together over a weekend hackathon. Battle-tested code that survived years of production, security audits, and intrusion attempts by people who actually know what they're doing.

We started because we were fed up seeing French and European companies depend 100% on American giants for their AI infrastructure. Also fed up seeing "AI solutions" that are just Ollama wrapped in an incomplete web interface, sold for €5000/month. You know the type.

What we actually do

We deploy local AI infrastructure for companies. Period. Not cloud that secretly routes through California. Not rebranded OpenThingy API. AI that runs at your place, on your hardware, with your data that never leaves your building.

Concretely:

  • Optimized hardware: We advise or provide the machines. Processors, RAM, GPU if needed. Sized for your models and your load... Within your budget.
  • Isolated network infrastructure: For critical environments, we offer complete vault architectures (proper Faraday cages). Your AI will talk to nobody but you.
  • Complete software stack: BeamReactor for interface and management, multi-backend support (KoboldCPP, Ollama, Llama.cpp), RAG system to query your documents, ContextGuardian firewall for prompt security.
  • Training and support: We don't dump you with a 300-page README. We train your teams, handle maintenance, answer when shit breaks (and it will, that's normal).

Why not just use ChatThing or OpenWhatever?

Good question. They're all great. Really. But:

  • Your data goes through their US servers. American jurisdiction, CLOUD Act, the whole shebang.
  • They can use your data to train their models. Yeah yeah, read the ToS.
  • Costs a fortune once you go past 10 active users.
  • You're dependent. They change prices? You pay. They stop the service? You're screwed. We all know that Awawa cloud example that loves to make EC2 instances dirt cheap one day to maximize interest, then switch the promo to Lambdas once everyone's invested.
  • Zero-day in their infra? Everyone's exposed at once. Nice target. And that's without even thinking about the worst, right?

With AEGIS local infrastructure, your data stays with you. Period. No leaks, no resale, no dependency on a California company that might decide tomorrow to triple their rates.

Why not just Ollama alone?

Ollama is great. We use it actually. But Ollama alone is like buying a car engine and wondering why it won't drive.

You need:

  • A proper user interface (not a curl terminal)
  • Authentication and permission management system
  • RAG to query your documents (otherwise your LLM doesn't learn much and knows nothing about your company)
  • Protection against prompt injections (otherwise your users will jailbreak the model in 5 minutes)
  • Conversational memory management
  • Execution context management (chatbot, technician, customer support, roleplay...)
  • Warnings when issues arise, the LLM informs you in real-time about its health status.
  • Bilateral filtering because an LLM can also trap you... Ask Hugging Face!
  • Monitoring, logs, maintenance, stats (anonymized, we don't betray anyone that's not our business model 😏)
  • Support when it breaks (and it will break)

That's a complete ecosystem. Not just "docker run ollama" and good luck.

Our tech stack

We won't lie pretending we invented everything. We build on solid foundations:

  • BeamReactor XDP: Our in-house framework, 22-23 years old, better than bourbon and significantly cheaper. Microkernel architecture, client-sided Argon2 authentication, native SQL/XSS injection protection, fine-grained permissions.
  • Multi-backend LLM: Support for KoboldCPP, Ollama, Llama.cpp. You're not locked to one vendor. Want to change models or backend? No problem.
  • Vector RAG: ChromaDB for indexing, adaptive chunking, semantic search. Your PDFs, internal docs, archived emails become queryable in natural language by the LLM.
  • ContextGuardian: Our proprietary prompt injection detection system. Real-time behavioral analysis, anomaly detection, jailbreak attempt blocking. Because an LLM without guardrails is a sieve.

For whom?

We won't tell you "for everyone". That's bullshit. Our solutions are made for:

  • SMBs and mid-size companies who want AI without depending on OpenThing. You have between 1 and 5000 employees, you want to control your costs and your data.
  • Public administrations: City halls, regional councils, state services. Native GDPR compliance, data sovereignty, 100% French/European hosting.
  • Regulated sectors: Healthcare, finance, defense, legal. You CAN'T send your sensitive data to ChatWhatever, whether in Switzerland or the US. We know, we understand, we have the solution → 🐓

Our values (yes, really)

Digital sovereignty: Your data, your infrastructure, your control. We don't do fake European disguised cloud.

Technical transparency: We don't sell you magic. We explain how it works, what can go wrong, and how we fix it.

Commercial honesty: If a free open source solution is enough for your need, we'll tell you. We won't sell you €50,000 of consulting if you just need a docker-compose.

Security by design: Security isn't an addon we slap on later. It's in the base architecture, from day one.

How do we work?

No smoke and mirrors. Of course, if you wish, we can follow agile methods with sprints and daily stand-ups. But above all, we do real development without expensive time-wasting jargon:

  • Audit of your real needs (not what you think you need, what you ACTUALLY need)
  • Detailed technical proposal with transparent budget
  • Progressive deployment: POC first, then production if it matches (XP phases)
  • Training your teams (real training, not 2 hours of PowerPoint). There's even an LLM if you exhaust the trainers!
  • Continuous support: you have a problem, we answer. Period.

So...

If you have an AI project and are tired of the BS, come talk!
